Friends and family would describe me as bubbly, cheerful, and hardworking and I would agree with those terms. However, at my core, I am a mother of five beautiful children, a proprietor of early education, and an advocate for marginalized communities.
As a longstanding member of the Natomas community, my husband and I have navigated the variety of educational options in our school district, including neighborhood schools, local charter schools, homeschooling programs, as well as special education services offered by our district. I am well-versed in the resources, opportunities, and gaps that need to be addressed in our community.
I, myself, am a proud recipient of the public school system and have attended American River College, Sacramento City College, and Brandman University, where I received my B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education.
My desire to become NUSD Trustee is rooted in my passion for high-quality education for All children. As a parent, I have experienced both traditional and charter schools here in Natomas. As a proprietor of an early learning program for over a decade, I understand the demands of educators. These experiences coupled with my early childhood educational background have given me an insightful understanding and perspective. I have a vested interest in improving and building on student learning outcomes. I believe I am uniquely qualified to serve in this capacity.
